Hello Everybody,

I cannot believe it's been such a long time since I wrote a blog!  To say that things have been busy would be a serious understatement!

I'm so lucky that, for at least the last 6 months, I've been totally full with piano students.  It's amazing to be able to play a small part in helping and inspiring the next generation of young musicians.  I consider what I do to be an incredible honour, and want to thank all of the people who come to me for lessons.

I continue to conduct Llantrisant Male Choir, and continue to teach piano at St. Clare's in Porthcawl, both of which I enjoy immensely.  I have also recently been appointed conductor of Bridgend Tabernacle Choir - a wonderful group of singers who sing Classical repertoire, plus some songs from the shows/late pop etc!  We have an exciting concert coming up on May 17th 2015 in which we will be singing Elgar's "The Spirit of England" with Orchestra.  Again, as cliche as it sounds, I am so incredibly lucky to be able to make a living from such fantastic experiences!

On a different note, last year, I was delighted to have my first piece of music published - my setting of Psalm 23, written in memory of my dear departed friend, Sylvia Pavey.  This is a huge deal for me, and I hope it to be the first of many pieces of mine to be published.  If you would be interested in purchasing a copy, you can do so here:  http://chichestermusicpress.co.uk/thelordismyshepherd/

Finally, I am incredibly excited to say that, with the help of my beautiful wife, I shall be expanding the services that Ace Music Ltd is offering.  We are in the process of employing instrumental tutors across Wales, with the goal of being able to offer high quality, reliable and fun tuition to everyone from all walks of life.  Watch this space but, in the mean time, you can also track our progress here: www.facebook.com/acemusicacademy

Thanks everybody, and hopefully I'll blog again soon!

Matthew :-)
